Description
Worked alongside photographer Johanna-Maria Fritz on the front line during the production of the award-winning photo series A Grave in the Garden.
One of the featured images was taken while she was sitting on my shoulders — as Ukrainian soldiers returned from Sievierodonetsk.
The series won the World Press Photo Award 2024, Sternpreis 2024, and was shortlisted for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2023.
